Formed a year ago the group unites the disciples of four schools in Vilnius. All of them have earned recognition in other collectives.

Guitarist and composer Deimantas Balys gets the credit for bringing together young improvisers. The quintet presents his composition One for Tigran for the competition finals.

Jurevičius studied at the Vilnius Conservatoire and the Royal Academy of Music in Aalborg (Denmark). Presently he continues his education at the Rhythmic Music Department at the Vilnius College.

Deimantas played in different groups including Soul Syrup, Such’a’Trip and TribalVibe, took part in Saeby Jazzfestival (Demark), Kaunas Jazz and PIN dienų festivals. Currently, he focuses on the presentation of his personal programme and collaboration with international projects.

Mantvydas Leonas Pranulis initiated a number of jazz and alternative music projects. He has performed his music with his M.P. Quintet, took part in Music in Space project with a young composers’ contemporary music ensemble, together with young composers he appeared in interactions Angels and Mirror.

In addition, the keyboardist played in Kęstutis Vaiginis’ Jazz Gang, group The Jam Fam, MIDI rock operas, several social artistic actions, appeared in Kaunas Jazz, Flora Jazz and Bad Bramsted Jazz festivals with the Vilnius Conservatoire and Magic Time big bands (led by Eugenijus Vedeckas).

While still a student at the Karoliniškės School of Music Pranulis became a winner of the Classic and Jazz competition and Juozas Pakalnis Young Performers’ Competition. In the 10th Vilnius Jazz Young Power competition he was voted the best instrumentalist. In 2017, together with Allergy+ he won the Jazz Talents competition in Klaipėda Jazz festival.

Pranulis enjoys collaboration with theatre and film directors. He composed music for Karolina Žernytė’s theatre production Pirmapradis, works with “Stalo teatras” (Table Theatre), composed soundtrack to Kamilė Milašiūtė’s short film Motinos diena (Mother’s Day).

Domas Žeromskas has already appeared on almost all major jazz scenes in Lithuania, collaborated with celebrated Lithuanian jazz masters. Presently, he concentrates on projects with Kotryna Juodzevičiūtė and saxophonist Vytautas Labutis’ Silent Blast.

Nojus Drąsutis drew attention with jazz ensemble led by saxophonist Vytautas Labutis while still at the Balys Dvarionas Music School. With this ensemble he made several appearances in jazz festivals in Lithuania.

The bassist also earned first prizes in international jazz competition Don Chento Jazz in Kaliningrad and an international competition Music Without Borders where he appeared with jazz ensemble led by Olegas Molokojedovas. His guitar is heard on the ensemble’s CD.

Made in 234, a group which he formed with four schoolmates, captured Grand Prix in Vilnius Jazz Young Power 2014 and the following year garnered the main prize in student jazz competition in Târgu Mureș (Romania).

Drąsutis also plays in Labutis’ Silent Blast. He has appeared in Saulkrasti Jazz in Latvia and almost all main jazz festivals in Lithuania.

Kristupas Kmitas studied at the Balys Dvarionas Music School where he got involved with jazz while playing in the school’s Big Band. In 2015, he graduated from the Rhythmic Music Department at the Vilnius College.

Kmitas collaborates with theatre community, performs music in theatre productions; has taken part in various festivals including Vilnius Mama Jazz, Granatos Live, Bliuzo Naktys, Vilnius Music Week and Karklė Festival.

The drummer is open to an array of music: works with Pilnatys, Baltasis Kiras and In albedo, as well as in contemporary jazz formations Mindaugas Stumbras Ensemble and N-Atomic Trio.
