Paulina Bakšaitė – ss
Lukas Pocius – bs, cl
Antanas Jurkevičius – tp, flgh

This unconventional trio has only been around for half a year. Formed as an ensemble of three equal partners, it has prepared an original composition Outerpretation for its first serious test in a competition.

Paulina Bakšaitė, playing soprano saxophone in the project, has a Master’s degree from the LAMT (under Prof. P. Vyšniauskas). As a soloist and a member of various ensembles she has successfully performed in many competitions, including Petras Vyšniauskas National Saxophone Competition and Džiazo scena (Jazz Stage) competition organised by Kaunas Jazz Festival, where she received the highest marks.

The saxophonist is mainly active on the classical music scene in Lithuania. She has performed with the St. Christopher Chamber Orchestra, the Šiauliai State Choir Polifonija, the Jauna muzika Choir, and has appeared at national music festivals.

Lukas Pocius graduated as a classical clarinettist from Stasys Šimkus Conservatoire in Klaipėda, and later studied saxophone at the University of Applied Sciences (Department of Arts and Creative Technologies). In 2019, he had already made it to the final of the VJYP competition with the group MartisMatisLukisVainius – then he played only saxophone, and now he will improvise on baritone saxophone and clarinet. Lukas participates in various peer projects.

Trumpet player Antanas Jurkevičius also graduated from Stasys Šimkus Conservatoire in Klaipėda and the University of Applied Sciences (Department of Arts and Creative Technologies). He plays in bands of various musical styles.
