Llaki Trio formed in 2019 during a jazz session in Vilnius. The ensemble has already managed to create a unique sound, combining heavy rhythms, expressive melodies, and monumental bass lines.

All three members of the ensemble are well-known virtuosos of the alternative music scene, collaborating with the most interesting representatives of this genre in Lithuania and playing in various formations. They all play in the band Džiazlaif, which won the Grand Prix at the Vilnius Jazz Young Power competition in 2017.

In 2024, Llaki Trio released their debut album Not Sorry (CRRNT Records).

For their performance at the Vilnius Jazz festival, the trio will be joined by Bolivian flutist Flavia Huarachi and Slovenian saxophonist Luka Zabric both based in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Arminas Bižys is a versatile saxophonist and composer collaborating with contemporary, jazz, rock, and improvised music groups.

He began his musical career by enrolling at the Vilnius Conservatory and later graduated from the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre. Playing the baritone and alto saxophones, he performs with ensembles of various genres, including the contemporary music ensemble Synaesthesis, the punk rock and ska band Dr. Green, Lapkričio dvidešimtosios orkestras, Džiazlaif, Improdimensija Orchestra, and others.

Double bass player and composer Aurelijus Užameckis is one of the most creative improvisers of the younger generation. While still a student at the Vilnius University of Applied Sciences, he was actively involved in jazz and improvised music projects and collaborated with artists from other fields. In the 2017 Vilnius Jazz Young Power competition, he was awarded the prize for Versatile Bass Expression.

Aurelijus later completed his studies in performance and composition at the Rhythmic Music Conservatory in Copenhagen and continues to live in the Danish capital, pursuing his creative activities both there and in Lithuania.

In addition to Llaki Trio and Džiazlaif, the musician plays in the bands Undercurrent, The Young Immigrants, and Arcanepunk, and collaborates with many well-known improvisers such as Lotte Anker, Hein Westgaard, Margaux Oswald, Kresten Osgood, Kenny Wollesen, Liudas Mockūnas, and Dalius Naujokaitis.

Užameckis’ creative potential and efforts to explore the sonic possibilities of the double bass were clearly revealed in his solo album Signals, recorded in 2020 at the Copenhagen Water Tower. In 2023, he released the album Huellas (CRRNT Records) with flutist Flavia Huarachi.

The artist is the founder of CRRNT Collective, a performer-curated publishing house and concert platform in Copenhagen, and initiated the CRRNT concert series in Kaunas. He participates in jazz and classical music festivals, having performed at Gaida, Be Stogo, Vilnius Jazz, Kaunas Jazz, Peronas Jazz, and others.

Drummer Ignas Kasikauskas plays a wide range of music, from punk rock to experimental and improvised music. He is also active on the theatre scene and in performance art.

Ignas graduated from the Jazz Department of the LAMT and honed his skills in master classes in Italy, Denmark, and Finland. Currently, in addition to Llaki Trio, he is focusing on the projects of Kanalizacija and Brokenchord. In 2019, the drummer won the Grand Prix at the Vilnius Jazz Young Power competition with the trio Kanalizacija.

Kasikauskas has sided many well-known improvisers, including Arkady Gotesman, Juozas Milašius, Dalius Naujokaitis, Kenny Wollesen, Ingebrigt Håker Flaten, Jonathon Haffner, Eugenijus Kanevičius, Tomas Razmus, Arnas Mikalkėnas, and others. He has appeared at Vilnius Mama Jazz, Vilnius Jazz, Kaunas Jazz, Peronas Jazz, Saulkrasti Jazz Festival (Latvia), Roma Summer Jazz Festival (Italy), and has toured in Germany, Slovenia, Austria, and other countries.

Flavia Huarachi, a flutist, vocalist, composer, and performance artist, is an active member of the CRRNT Collective founded by Užameckis in Copenhagen. She is curating concerts of experimental and new music. A duo album Huellas, she and Užameckis released in 2023, melds folklore and contemporary experiments.

Born and raised in Bolivia, Flavia started her music education within the rich tradition of Bolivian culture through folkloric dance and traditional wind music. She later graduated from the Royal Danish Academy of Music and the Rhythmic Music Conservatory in Copenhagen, acquiring a classical foundation before diving into improvisation and avant-garde expression.

Huarachi often explores themes of bodily memory and decolonisation in her work, drawing the audience into her intimate and ambitious pieces, creating a unique soundscape that reflects her cultural heritage and opens up new horizons.

Her versatility allows this creator to collaborate with artists from various genres: singers Andreas Odbjerg and Raphael Gimenes, composer and double bass player Bara Gísladóttir, CRRNT Band, Orchestra of the Americas, Shatter Hands, Takykardia, and others.

The artist has performed at prestigious festivals in Japan, Sweden, Scotland, and Denmark. Since 2023, she has been teaching future performers at the Rhythmic Music Conservatory in Copenhagen.

Saxophonist, improviser and composer Luka Zabric has been living in Copenhagen since 2020.

In his work, he passionately explores the possibilities of his instrument using various extended techniques, acoustic effects, and the instrument preparation. The artist plays in The Gatherers, CRRNT Collective, mocean, and ŠUM.UM, writes solo music, and improvises with Margaux Oswald, Nikola Vukovic, Sarah Buchner, and other performers.
